Potomac Stages Broadway

When the website Potomac Stages ceased publishing in 2010, the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Library at the University of Maryland established an archive to preserve the collection of reviews and news items which had become something of a comprehensive portrait of the region's theater community. The archive only captured the material related to the region, however, and did not include the many reviews of Broadway shows in their New York productions. Here we present many of those reviews.

42nd Street at the Ford Center - May, 2001

Aida at the Palace Theatre - June, 2000

Chicago at the Shubert Theatre - January, 2001

Flower Drum Song at the Virginia Theatre - October, 2002

Good Vibrations at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre - February, 2005

Into The Woods at the Broadhurst Theatre - April, 2002

Les Míserables at the Imperial Theatre - September 2002

Mamma Mia! at the Winter Garden - October, 2001

Movin' Out at the Richard Rodgers Theatre - October, 2002

Oklahoma! at the Gershwin Theatre - May, 2002

Sweeney Todd at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre - November, 2005

The Goat at the Golden Theatre - October, 2002

The Lion King at the New Amsterdam Theatre - November, 2001

The Producers at the St. James Theatre - October, 2001

The Tale of the Allergists Wife at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre - April, 2002

Thoroughly Modern Millie at the Marquis Theatre - May, 2002

Urinetown at the Henry Miller Theatre - October, 2001

Xanadu at the Helen Hayes Theatre - August, 2007

There were even a few reviews of Off Broadway shows over the decade:

And we even managed to cover a couple of titles in London:

Blood Brothers at The Phoenix Theatre - September, 2002

My Fair Lady at Theatre Royal Drury Lane - September, 2002
